Inspired by photographs I took on a trip to New York, I began to research the work of cityscape artists. When doing so, I came across two pieces that stood out to me in particular and as a result, I decided to replicate these images.
This image is my replica of Paul Brent's 'Green Cityscape', for which I used acrylic paint in order to achieve the various vibrant tones in the background.

This is my replica of Elizbeth Dagger's 'Amsterdam II' for which I used oil pastel to achieve the striking orange and yellow tones that create a strong contrast to the darker buildings.
